Jump start your road to financial success in the business world with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree at Southern States University. This four year program provides students with an enriching and stimulating academic background, as well as with extensive hands-on experience necessary to succeed in today’s challenging business and corporate marketplace.
The focus of this program is two-fold, combining a well-rounded liberal arts education with solid business fundamentals, principles and experience. Requiring successful completion of 180 Quarter Credits, the BBA degree gives students a strong academic foundation through general education and pre-requisite courses combined with upper division courses designed to be on the cutting edge of today’s business needs. The aim of this program is to give graduates the best opportunity to succeed in the business world by providing students with a stimulating learning environment, quality instruction and a focus on interaction with their peers.
For students wishing to pursue an advanced degree after completing the Bachelor of Business Administration, Southern States University offers the ability to transfer from the BBA degree into the Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree program. This program gives the student the opportunity to continue his/her education, and can be a valuable asset in securing rewarding employment, or advancing in a current position.
Students in the BBA program are required to take a minimum of 12 units per quarter. Most classes are 4.5 units and include 40 hours of classroom instruction.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION
Programs at the undergraduate level include: a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration (BBA). All students applying for undergraduate programs must submit the following:
- Application for Admission;
- A written essay detailing educational and work history, goals as they relate to education and work history, and the relationship between these goals and the SSU Degree program being applied for;
- A high school diploma, GED, or Certificate of Equivalency/Proficiency;
- Official Transcripts from other universities or institutions that he/she may have attended (if attempting to transfer credit ONLY);
- An application fee (non-refundable) of $100
International Students Admissions Requirements
In addition to the above items, international students applying for a graduate program must submit the following:
- Financial Documentation confirming that the student can support himself/herself during his/her stay in the U.S.A. This includes a statement of financial verification (i.e.bank statement) showing at least $3,500
- Copy of passport information page including the Visa I-94 validity page
- Official Transcripts from other universities or institutions that the student has attended; these transcripts must be evaluated by one of the two following organizations:
(1) http://www.aceil.com, or (2) http://www.ierf.org;
- One of the following test scores:
TOEFL result with a minimum score of 61 on the IBT (Internet Based Test) or 500 on the PBT (Paper Based Test)
IELTS (International English Language Testing System) rminimum score of 6.5
*** SSU does not accept a TOEIC score as a means of proving English proficiency for this program.
Note: International students with none of the aforementioned test scores may be provisionally accepted. To do so, he/she must take SSU’s EPT (English Placement Test) and achieve a score of at least 80% on the listening, multiple-choice, writing and oral assessment. The student is then provisionally accepted into SSU, and he/she is permitted one quarter to submit the required score on either the TOEFL or IELTS exam. Failure to submit one of the required TOEFL or IELTS test scores for admission will result in expulsion.
International students wishing to waive SSU’s test requirement must provide proof of an Associate’s Degree and/or transferable credit from a USDE-recognized accredited institution, showing a GPA of 3.0 or higher. He/She must also submit a 1-page essay response to a question presented by SSU.
